Christina Hoskins – Lead Primary Teacher / Assistant Director
Hi! I am Christina, I have been working in Education for over 20 years, from running my own at home daycare, children’s yoga instructor, to Elementary school librarian, and now to fulltime Primary Teacher. I have an associates degree from the University of Wyoming (GO POKES!) in Early Childhood Development and a Bachelors degree in Library Media Science. I have lived in Oregon for 4 years now, moving from the cold state of Wyoming. I believe that reading is the most important part of the day.
Elizabeth (Liz) VanLeeuwen- Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Hello, my name is Liz VanLeeuwen.(It’s Dutch)
I grew up East of Salem in Mill City, OR. Growing up in the Santiam Canyon, I love to enjoy the outdoors.
After 20 years in healthcare, I decided it was time for a career change and to pursue my original passion; teaching in an Early Childhood setting. I’m currently working on my CDA certificate (Child Development Associates) through Kaleidoscope and Portland State University. Alongside art, I have a lot of hobbies:
I enjoy participating in The Rocky Horror shadow cast here in Salem, fishing, spending time with my Husband and my 2 Dobermans, Gary and Ruby. I also dabble in clothing crafts and candy making.
Ianassa Donegan – Kindergarten & 1st Grade Teacher
I graduated in December 2019 from Western Oregon University
with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary
Education. I was born in Missoula, Montana but I grew up in
Portland, Oregon. I have worked with kids for all of my adult life,
from nannying and summer camps to working at the Portland
Children’s Museum and the Reggio Emilia inspired school
attached to it. The experiences I had at Opal School inspired me
to become a teacher and became the foundation for all the work
that I do. I am passionate about education and the things that we
can learn from the openness and inventive curiosity of young
children. I have two cats, Iris and Magnolia. I love art, singing,
and spending time in the forest. My name comes from Greek and
Roman Mythology and is the name of a Mediterranean mermaid
goddess. I am grateful to be a member of this community, and
excited to get to know each and every one of you.

Hello I am Willielee! I’m 33 years old and I have worked with children for 10 plus years and I truly love it. I don’t see myself in any other field of work. One of my goals in life is to be a positive role model for any child that comes across my path. On my free time, I love to be outside and enjoying what life brings my way and I play on a women’s tackle football team. My goals for the Fall are to help develop life skills, as well as educational skills, in fun and creative ways.
